The Project Manager will be responsible for the successful execution of the project, managing all aspects of project delivery. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and project management skills to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Type: Contract (initially 1 year with possibility of extension) (single status)

Primary purpose: The Project Manager will be responsible for the successful execution of the project, managing all aspects of project delivery. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and project management skills to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Project Planning and Execution: Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with project objectives and client requirements.

Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders to manage project expectations, requirements, and deliverables.

Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, implementing strategies to minimize disruptions and optimize project outcomes.

Contract Administration: Oversee contract negotiations, procurement activities, and subcontractor management to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and project specifications.

Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Compliance: Ensure adherence to HSE standards and regulations, implementing measures to promote a safe working environment and minimize environmental impact.

Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC): Establish and enforce quality standards and procedures to ensure project deliverables meet industry standards and client expectations.

Cost Control and Financial Management: Monitor project budgets, expenditures, and financial performance, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

Team Leadership and Management: Lead and motivate project teams, providing guidance, support, and direction to achieve project goals and objectives.

Communication and Reporting: Facilitate regular communication and reporting with project stakeholders, providing updates on project progress, issues, and resolutions.

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, innovation, and best practices to enhance project performance and deliver value to clients.

 

Location: Mozambique, East Africa

 

Qualifications and Experience:

 

Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).

Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with a focus on marine, civil, infrastructure, EPC, oil & gas, and/or mining projects.

Demonstrated track record of successfully managing and delivering complex projects within schedule and budget constraints.

Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and tools, with proficiency in project management software and MS Office suite.

Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Experience working in multinational and multicultural environments is desirable.

Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent are advantageous.
