I serve as the Bus and truck Assembler to Iveco SA Works (Pty)ltd. From 7 years of experience as a Bus and truck Assembler, I have developed the knowledge of Automotive and how to start a bus or truck from the start.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities of ideal position:
Truck and Bus Assembler duties: 1. Knowledge and experience on usage and handling of air tools 2. Electrical sub assembling and electrical harness layout and securing onto Chassis 3. Pneumatic pipes sub assembling and pneumatic pipes layout and securing onto chassis 4. Front and rear mounting on chassis and securing bolts & nuts with specific torques 5. Assembling propeller shaft and securing axle pneumatic pipes for the braking system 6. Engine and gearbox preparations and fitting gearbox to engine 7. Pneumatic pipes, electrical harness, aircon pipes & radiator pipes prep before engine drop 8. Engine drop onto chassis and securing bolts and nuts with specific torques 9. Front and rear wheel discs alignment 10. Assembling of wheels and fitment onto chassis 11. Read and understand drawings, work instructions and OPLs ( One Point Lesson) 12. General housekeeping in the work area 13. Actively partake in the daily activities of the Iveco SHEQ System and report any non-conformance 14. Ensure that your area conforms to the Iveco SHEQ system and it is maintained 15. Report any poor or no activity to your manager where you feel the Iveco SHEQ system is being compromised
