Primary purpose of current/most recent position:
Civil Engineering Technologist & Project Manager Gathered, extracted, complied, computed, and presented data necessary for engineering design and project work. Compiled Engineering Reports / Tender Documents. Assisted in ensuring that contractor performance or technical tasks is in accordance with established procedures and that tests and/or products conform to established specifications and requirements. Provided technical guidance to contractor personnel on technical and documentation requirements including problem reports and troubleshooting plans. Assisted with all work associated with surveying, draughting and site supervision which included site visits and attendance of project and construction meetings.
Core elements or functions that must operate effectively in order to achieve primary purpose:
Working knowledge of engineering design focusing on infrastructure, roads, and earthworks. Knowledge in the use of CAD software including Bentley MicroStation, Civil GeoHECRAS and Civil Designer. Proficient with Microsoft Office software as well as Microsoft Project. Understanding of health, safety, and environmental aspects within the construction industry. Managerial skills including planning, monitoring, and controlling of resources within budget and time constraints.
