Primary purpose of current/most recent position:

Majority of our employees are Technical Employees who are supposed to be skilled to excel on their technical responsibilities. Training becomes the core function of the Business. My responsibility is to ensure that all employees have necessary skills to preform their work. I take in Apprentices on yearly Basis to develop them into artisans so that they can fill in the gaps when one employee resigns. Further more, there's on-job training that is vital for all employee development. With 6 of trained facilitators, a yearly training calendar is shared with the business to ensure continuous skill development. My main responsibility is to make sure that we have the well trained and skilled workforce.

Core elements or functions that must operate effectively in order to achieve primary purpose:

Knowledge facilitators who are subject matter in their fields Management team that understand the importance of skill development Sufficient training budget Good relationship with different stakeholders, eg. SETAs

Description of self, along with greater purpose and passions:

In University I was always open to assist my fellow struggling students. That happens even when I started my career as a chemical engineer. I'll assist other colleagues with their reports and difficult tasks. In the past years I've been assisting Grade 12 students with Maths and Science in preparing their exams. Going to training was not a mistake, it has always been something I've always wanted to do. Good relationship with employees in all the companies that I've worked for made it easier for all employees to see learning and development as a key yo greater heights.

Approval of all South Africa Qualifications. The activities that I'll enjoy doing will include the following: Putting together a curriculum inline with industry needs Reviewing the current offerings and aligning them to the 21st century way of doing things

Understanding of Chemical Engineering Processes Initiating and Implementation of Pipeline development (Apprentices and Learnerships) Broad Understating and managing of Training Budget Knowledge of BBBEE elements Understanding of SETAs and WSP/ATR submissions Employees Management
