Key responsibilities and accountabilities of ideal position:

Prepare the cost estimates including the services and repair costs and the cost of spares if needed. Maintain and manage daily records of repairs and services of vehicles undertaken and completed. Ensure delivery of vehicles to customer on time. Handle and manage softly the minor complaints and irritants with the customer. Supervise, manage and monitor a team of automotive technicians and repairers. Handle customer inquiries and respond to their needs in a cool, courteous and prompt manner. Ensure customer satisfaction at the highest level through effective services and repair. Ensure that warranties are properly followed up, monitored and documented. Plan and organise Preventive Maintenance System and delegate specific task to concerned section/mechanic. Hands-on supervision to all workshop activities, especially technical issues. Forecast and order spare parts/consumables for specific jobs/special job or for stock replenishment. Provide on-the-job training as well as coaching and mentoring to mechanics and helpers. Follow up repair order, registering the time taken to complete the task. Responsible for customer service, reliability and dependability by providing all fields with technical assistance that they require from the workshop. Evaluate the training requirements and discuss/agree on training needs. Complete and issue the pre-dispatch note. Attend the weekly management meeting. Responsible for the implementation of 5S and other HSEQ standard within the workshop area. Responsible for job allocation and job flow in the workshop including job scheduling and labour allocation for day to day operations. Ensure correct job numbers are used and that time records are correct. Work with the Director - Operations to respond to clientïs requests for updates on the status of their jobs and keep the communication channels open to ensure information is accurate. Work with the Director to investigate customer complaints and concerns arising from products and suggest appropriate solutions. Discuss with team to identify appropriate course of action. Liaise with internal and external key contact to ensure work is delivered in time and to a quality standard.
