Primary purpose of current/most recent position:

In my current role as Strategic Director for Stakeholder Relations and Social Facilitation I am responsible for leading a national team on stakeholder mapping, lobbying at all 3 spheres of government, maintaining databases of influential stakeholders, developing engagement plans and programmes for effective reputation and stakeholder engagement in the Road Infrastructure sector for SANRAL. I have senior management private and public sector experience. I have senior level experience with dealing with Transnet and other public SOE's such as SANRAL.

Core elements or functions that must operate effectively in order to achieve primary purpose:

Building and maintaining relationships with key internal and external interest and designated groups. External networking and benchmarking in national industry forums. Continuous consultation company leadership, managing engagement with stakeholders across local authorities, government, statutory and non-statutory bodies, industry & business, land owners and custodians (traditional leaders). Development and successful delivery of stakeholder engagement plans aligned with the overarching stakeholder engagement strategy. Managing stakeholder mapping, preparing communications to stakeholders and responding timeously and effectively to stakeholder enquiries. Arranging and attending stakeholder meetings internally; with operational staff and ensuring feedback of stakeholder responses and requests to functional teams are responded to within agreed timelines.
