The Construction Manager will oversee all construction activities for the project ensuring safe, efficient, and timely execution. Type: Contract (initially 1 year with possibility of extension) (single status)
Primary purpose: The Construction Manager will oversee all construction activities for the project ensuring safe, efficient, and timely execution. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and project management skills to deliver successful outcomes while adhering to project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Construction Planning and Execution: Develop and implement construction plans, schedules, and strategies, coordinating with project stakeholders to ensure alignment with project objectives and milestones.
Resource Management: Manage construction resources, including labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors, to support construction activities and meet project requirements.
Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Compliance: Enforce HSE policies and procedures, conduct regular safety inspections, and promote a culture of safety among construction teams and subcontractors.
Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC): Implement QA/QC processes and procedures to monitor and evaluate construction work, ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality requirements.
Contract Administration: Assist in contract administration activities, including reviewing contract documents, interpreting contract terms, and enforcing contractual obligations.
Cost Control and Budget Management: Monitor construction costs, expenditures, and budgets, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements while ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
Progress Monitoring and Reporting: Track construction progress, productivity, and performance, providing regular updates and reports to project management and stakeholders.
Change Management: Manage construction changes, variations, and claims, documenting changes and ensuring proper approval and implementation in accordance with project procedures.
Technical Support: Provide technical guidance and support to construction teams, resolving technical issues, and addressing design changes or modifications as required.
Team Leadership: Lead and motivate construction teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment, and promoting teamwork and accountability.

Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on marine, civil, infrastructure, EPC, oil & gas, and/or mining projects.
Demonstrated experience working on large-scale industrial projects.
Strong understanding of construction techniques, methods, and practices, with knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate and manage construction teams and subcontractors.
Proficiency in construction management software and tools, as well as MS Office suite.
Commitment to upholding safety, quality, and environmental standards in construction activities.
Willingness to travel and work in remote or challenging environments as required by project assignments.
