The last position was joint lead for the compilation of a ZAR multi billion EPC (FIDIC bespoke Yellow Book) project bid.
Primary purpose was the assembly of leading major SA companies (civil, structural, mechanical, EC&I, BMH and storage, chemical, environmental and railway) international technology partners and an international consortium partner.
Technical compliance of bid, commercial and contractual compilation and coordination of the bid ensure mandatory compliance, technical objective compliance, contractual and commercial compliance.
Core elements or functions that must operate effectively in order to achieve primary purpose:
Contractual expertise (FIDIC in this case)
Deep understanding of the specific project environment, all the stakeholders involved (Internal as well as external)
Plant technical knowledge and technology understanding, which ensures a robust technical solution across the various disciplines as well as ability to commit to the performance based EPC targets.
Understanding of how organisational cultures, different language and cultures may influence the navigation & integration of a bid of this magnitude.
