Primary purpose of current/most recent position:

The primary purpose of my current positions is twofold, a tutor and an MSc researcher. As a tutor, I support third-year engineering students in mastering material science and engineering failure analysis by providing academic guidance, reinforcing key concepts, and encouraging critical problem-solving. Concurrently, as an MSc student in Metallurgical Engineering, my research is focused on optimizing the microstructure and properties of grey cast iron using FeSi-based inoculants containing elements such as Strontium and Zirconium. This involves extensive material characterization, experimental design, and analysis of casting behavior to improve mechanical performance and consistency. My work contributes to the broader goals of advancing metallurgical process efficiency and material innovation in industrial applications.

Core elements or functions that must operate effectively in order to achieve primary purpose:

To achieve my primary purpose as a tutor and MSc student, the most critical functions include: preparing and delivering subject-relevant tutorials to support student learning; designing and conducting structured metallurgical experiments aligned with research objectives; analyzing and interpreting experimental data to draw meaningful conclusions; managing time effectively to balance academic, tutoring, and research responsibilities; and maintaining clear communication with students and academic staff to ensure alignment and support throughout the academic process. These activities are essential to producing both high-quality research outcomes and impactful academic support.

Description of self, along with greater purpose and passions:

I’m a curious and hands-on process engineer who loves solving problems and finding ways to improve how things work. With a solid background in metallurgy and quality management, I enjoy diving into challenges and coming up with practical solutions. I’m passionate about learning new skills and often take online courses to keep growing, especially in programming and data tools. Mentoring others and sharing knowledge is something I really value, and I thrive in teams where we work together to make a real difference.

Ideal business title:

Process Engineering, Quality management engineer, Business development Engineer, Research Engineer.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities of ideal position:
