Primary purpose of current/most recent position:
The purpose of this position was to deliver quality products on time as requested by the client. To deliver a service when requested by the clients for the refurbishment or servicing of their equipment on site or as per agreement.
Core elements or functions that must operate effectively in order to achieve primary purpose:
I had to navigate around the supervisors in the different departments to complete all the necessary fabricated items for on time completion then move everything to the assembly bay for assembly and then move to the test facility for commissioning before delivery to client.

I have a passion for what I do. I have learnt how to work with different cultures and try to understand their strengths and allow them to work at what they do best. I have my way of identifying people that I could train into higher positions and even in the past, I employed people as assistants and turned them into qualified artisans. I want to see people developed into the best that they can be and live the decent lives that we all want to live.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities of ideal position:
I would like to take control of various steel fabrication or Manufacturing workshops and see the work through to delivery, erection and commissioning.
Skill area of competence:
I am highly skilled in all areas of steel manufacturing arears and people management. Managing engineering workshops and maintenance of equipment vehicles and buildings etc. I was a member of the design team at De Beers Diamond Mines at the R&D Centre in the design and manufacture of novel diamond recovery machines and recovery Plants.
Career summary:
Ten Years manufacturing tanks, silos, pressure vessels and pipe fabrication. Fourteen years in the diamond mining industry in the R&D business building diamond recovery machine and X-Ray equipment. Five years in the Heavy engineering industry working with minimum 16mm thick material to 300mm thick material. Combined 5 years experience in the manufacture of Stainless Steel tans and other Stainless commodities. 3 years in the manufacture of GRP products and heat exchangers.
