Primary purpose of current/most recent position:
My previous job's purpose can be found below:
Objective: Ensure comprehensive environmental compliance and operational safety across industrial operations while driving sustainable process improvements that reduce environmental impact and enhance profitability. Responsible for maintaining all environmental licenses, minimizing chemical and environmental risks, and optimizing processes to achieve zero-incident operations. Tasked with developing innovative waste-to-revenue solutions and implementing water conservation strategies that support both regulatory requirements and corporate sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities: • Environmental risk management and regulatory compliance • Chemical process optimization and risk assessment
• Sustainability initiatives for waste and water reduction • Safety procedure development for incident prevention • Technical support for Surface Treatment Plants
Major Deliverables: ✓ Site Water Balance management systems ✓ Site P&IDs documentation development ✓ Waste-to-saleable material recovery processes ✓ Environmental risk assessments and safety measures
Core elements or functions that must operate effectively in order to achieve primary purpose:
Water balance across the site must be correct in order to maintain the site's effluent license.
The site's operational procedures must be technically correct in order for the process risk to be properly evaluated to ensure the baseline risk for the site is accurate.
Being able how to perform problem solving techniques such as 5 Whys is important for finding root causes for failures in a process for process improvements to be discovered.
Understanding how processes work by generating process descriptions and P&IDs is important for knowing how to reduce water and waste.
Description of self, along with greater purpose and passions:
I am a Chemical Engineering professional who embodies the essence of a Cultivator – someone who creates sustainable value through methodical excellence, strategic foresight, and genuine care for both environmental stewardship and human development.
My Core Skills & Abilities: My technical expertise lies in process optimization and risk mitigation, where I excel at analyzing complex industrial systems to identify sustainable solutions. With 9+ years of experience managing $74M+ projects, I've developed a unique ability to balance technical complexity with practical implementation. I'm naturally drawn to superior planning and resource management, approaching challenges with a data-driven methodology that ensures long-term success rather than quick fixes. My strength in environmental risk assessment and compliance allows me to quantify and mitigate risks to both people and processes, creating safer, more sustainable operations.
My Greater Purpose: My purpose centers on nurturing sustainable growth – both for organizations and individuals. I believe in creating incremental, lasting improvements that compound over time. This manifests in my commitment to reducing environmental impact while optimizing production efficiency. I don't just implement solutions; I cultivate systems that continue generating value long after initial deployment. My zero-safety-incident track record across hazardous operations reflects this philosophy of sustainable excellence.
My Deepest Passions: What truly energizes me is developing independent thinkers and future leaders. My passion for mentoring stems from understanding that knowledge transfer creates exponential impact. I find profound satisfaction in guiding junior engineers through complex problem-solving, watching them develop confidence and capability. This aligns with my Cultivator nature – I prefer supporting others to achieve their potential rather than seeking the spotlight myself.
My passion for environmental stewardship drives me to innovate waste-to-product recovery systems and implement sustainable practices that benefit both business and planet. I'm motivated by the challenge of transforming complex environmental problems into elegant, practical solutions.
How I Create Value: As a Cultivator, I bring calming stability and strategic foresight to high-pressure environments. I excel at sensing risks before they materialize and creating robust systems that sustain performance over time. My approach combines analytical rigor with experiential wisdom, ensuring solutions are both theoretically sound and practically viable.
I thrive in environments requiring careful balance of process, time, and resources – precisely where my project management expertise and technical background intersect. My ability to maintain long-term perspective while managing day-to-day complexities allows me to guide teams through challenging implementations while building capabilities for future growth.
My Integrated Approach: I see myself as a bridge between technical excellence and human development, environmental responsibility and business success, immediate needs and long-term sustainability. My greatest fulfillment comes from creating systems and developing people that continue growing and contributing long after my direct involvement ends.
This combination of technical mastery, strategic thinking, and genuine care for others' development positions me to create lasting value in any organization committed to sustainable growth and excellence.
