Primary purpose of current/most recent position:

• Develop key sustainability strategies and regularly review the alignment of IMSAf to Isuzu Global Sustainability vision,
policies and strategies and engagement efforts on these.
• Provide leadership, advisory and strategic guidance in working towards the realization of IMSAf Sustainability Strategy to the IMSAf’s Board, CEO and PLC.
• Establish, implement, and maintain Sustainability policies, procedures, and practices.
• Create awareness on sustainability policies, procedures, and practices to staff at all levels.
• Develop and implement Sustainability long and short-term goals with clear and SMART targets to encourage best practices.
• Supervise employees or volunteers working on sustainability projects.
• Research environmental sustainability issues, concerns, or stakeholder interests.
• Develop methodologies to assess the viability or success of sustainability initiatives.
• Work with Marketing & Communications and participate in relevant external platforms on sustainability issues on behalf of IMSAf, playing an advocacy role to ensure IMSAf is well position in the market from a brand perspective.
• Evaluate and approve proposals for sustainability projects

In order for my job to be effectively done the following is necessary: Sustainability must be fully integrated to the business strategy and be owned by the board but implemented by all functional leaders. Must be incorporated aa part of performance management across the business. Have a dedicated board committee or be part of the existing committee such as social and ethics committee or stand alone. The role itself must report directly to the CEO or to the board for it not be sidelined by other activities so that it advises the board or the CEO directly to influence performance of the whole business.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities of ideal position:

Be accountable to the board or CEO:

Develop sustainable development strategy
Ensuring regulatory compliance. Anticipate regulatory trends and their implications. Establish adherence to the sustainability laws and regulations that apply to each industry, process, and type of business. Assess risk management. Enact internal policies.
ESG monitoring and reporting. Collect data and metrics following the reporting standards. Benchmark with industry peers. Prepare the completion and communications of company ESG report.
Overseeing the portfolio of sustainability projects. Act as a project management office: planning, coordinating, reviewing progress, and tracking results to coordinate various operational efforts.
Managing stakeholders’ relationships. Promote ongoing dialogue with internal and external stakeholders in order to develop constructive, transparent relationships.
Building organizational capabilities. Identify gaps and adopt appropriate educational initiatives for upskilling and/or sourcing the missing capabilities. Identify innovative ways to scale the new capabilities. Share and disseminate knowledge and best practices.
Fostering cultural change. Help define and communicate purpose to drive the transformation. Champion cultural change across the entire organization also through education. Promote mindset shifts based on concrete behaviors. Establish routines to reinforce the change, for a credible “walk the talk” from leaders.
Scouting and experimenting. Promote openness toward the external innovation ecosystem. Explore emerging sustainability technologies, solutions, and practices. Test the applicability and learn from experiments. Scale up adoption in the broader organization.
Embedding sustainability into processes and decision making. Revise key processes and related criteria/metrics/tools for decisions. Coach decision makers to manage complex trade-offs.

Skill area of competence:

strategy development and implementation, people management, stakeholder management, intense research,
writing and analysis skills, which require a deep understanding of critical business drivers and seizing control of critical
problem areas. I have more than seven years of the project, financial and contract management skills. I have the
experience and ability to work alone and be part of a team. As such, I am energetic, innovative and creative. I possess
excellent verbal and written communication skills
