Key responsibilities include defining scope and goals, creating detailed plans and schedules, managing resources, the project budget and risk/opportunities, leading and motivating the team, and overseeing all aspects of the project from start to finish.)

An experienced project management professional (PMP) registered with PMI, with over 34 years in execution and stay-in-business (SIB) projects and studies, primarily focused on processing facilities and infrastructure within the mining (surface & underground), mineral processing, petrochemical, water treatment, food processing and paper & pulp industries, on greenfield, brownfield, national and international projects, with intermittent experience in engineering manufacturing and maintenance in the mining Industry.
Has a skillset that covers the full spectrum, with extensive experience in a wide range of management and support roles such as project and study management, engineering management, contracts management & administration, site management & supervision, planning / scheduling, cost control & reporting, quantity surveying, estimating, procurement, expediting and logistics. Also had significant exposure to SHE, QA/QC and HR/IR systems management.

PROJECT | Project – Gravity Separation Spirals
• Manage the project to be 2-months ahead of schedule and increased the profit margin with 5%, without compromising any safety or quality objectives.
• Built and maintain a good relationship with the client and other stakeholders.
PROJECT | Gold Project (Mali) – Refurbishment & Upgrade Project
• Played key role to assist lawyers in Perth, to successfully defend the company in an arbitration case against the client, to reach an amicable settlement.
PROJECT | Mine - Trackless Mining Equipment Service Contract
• Reduced monthly losses from Rm 1,2 per month to a break-even point in seven months
• Maintained equipment availabilities above the contractual 85% in extremely difficult mining conditions and circumstances.

My current role is accountable for leading the Portfolio of International and Category 3-5 Project Delivery teams for the business that provide metallurgical, design and process technology to the Australian and global minerals market.

Headline KPIs are: Zero Harm performance on all travel and site activities; Exceed project budget margins, schedule, EBIT and cash targets; Achieve project delivery requirements to the customer as per contract(s); Develop an EPC / D&C delivery capability for selected projects that focus on high value niche scope projects for the business (minor EPC as approved by TCC and not as a principal construction contractor); Enable the estimating and winning of selected projects outside Australia that fit within the business’s field of expertise; Select, appoint and manage the appropriate Project manager skill sets per project type; Expand the historical business capability to include project delivery methodology culture, systems and processes; Collaborate with Global Manager Business Development to pursue and win project opportunities in all strategic commodities globally.
