Motivation of Suitability: I am a registered professional engineer with more than 30 years of EPCm experience in the petrochemical industry having worked at almost all of the oil refineries and terminals in South Africa. I have covered the full life-cycle of projects from conceptual studies to execution and commissioning support and have experience in engineering, procurement and construction management. Having started as a process engineer and built a strong technical background and working through Engineering Management, Project Management, Operations and General management I have reinforced my technical knowledge with business, commercial and leadership skills.
Achievements: Being assigned to a new client which was going into a Turnaround and taking over multiple projects across the refinery and having to get additional engineering resources , most of which were new to the refinery environment, to deliver on time and cost. We delivered all of this within cost and schedule and achieved this safely.
This team grew in experience and are now leaders in various companies locally and internationally.
