Description of self, along with greater purpose and passions:
Being a geologist fulfills my curiosity for wanting to know more about earth processes and geography combined with the privilege of being paid to be outdoors exploring in the field or present at an exploration site. I am a team player and make a real effort to get along with the people I work with. I hope that I leave people better off than I found them, whether it's giving them confidence or teaching them new skills as they aid me in delivering work. This being said, my natural state is one of deep care for people and how I make them feel.Balancing this out with a strong focus on delivering results under tight deadlines remains my goal.

What do you absolutely love doing:
I love turning dusty old reports chock full of long forgotten data into usable datasets to drive my deep understanding of the geology of the area I'm working on. When this work involves a team that I'm leading I love watching them slowly transform into warriors churning out datasets of lasting value where they pick up skills along the way and also feel a huge sense of accomplishment.

This company should not be one where senior leadership constantly stalls teams from triggering work programs to test robust exploration hypotheses.
