Primary purpose of current/most recent position:
As a system performance engineer my primary purpose is to calibrate, qualify and verify the system. First is to calibrate individual components and then to calibrate the system as a whole. The system goes through various stages of testing and during that process we need to troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise from diagnostic tool report. Furthermore, the systems have each a unique set of requirements set out by each customer which requires fine tuning and precision engineering. The system itself is comprised of various PI and PID controllers where each of the gains need to be carefully calibrated in order to meet specification. In addition some instances parts need to be swapped and adjusted as issues can be hardware and not just software. Additionally, these systems need to be shipped off to the customer within a certain period and the cost of delay is very expensive. Furthermore, all actions done need to be recorded along with any diagnostic, performance and validation reports. In addition, to this I am also a project coordinator for new improvements that need to be made and have also taken up the mantle of Backup Team Lead.

I love having a hand in something, where you've worked on it on paper and finally see it come to life. Where your hard work, calculations, prototyping and testing finally results in a real world product that is used by others and is also admired. I love solving complex problems and I know with both of these it requires a certain mental fortitude and is not always easy but the success at the end of it truly makes it worth it.
