Primary purpose of current/most recent position:

I am a mechanical engineering in a group called Specialised Engineering. My work involves close work with international colleagues in performing mechanical/structural assessment typically of heavy duty equipment within the industries serviced by my current company. I have industry experience in performing such analyses using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to several codes and standards (SANS 10160, ASME BPVC Section VIII Div I and II, API 579/ASME FFS-1, AIST TR6, AWS D1.1. My role is to lead technical work within large execution projects and work in novel engineering applications, such as renewable energy (i.e., molten salt incinerator /boilers, hydrogen discharge systems and Concentrated Solar Plants)

In my team I am responsible for the day to day managing of several junior engineers reporting directly to directors and senior leadership. In my role i compile and oversee proposals for key clients involving development of scope as well as estimate including high level resource allocation.
