Primary purpose of current/most recent position:
To develop fire retardant coatings, cementitious mastics and foam concentrate alternatives for the fire-fighting industry
Core elements or functions that must operate effectively in order to achieve primary purpose:
To be able to develop the products successfully requires a clear understanding of the technology landscape and what is needed currently and in the future. Once the roadmap is in place key players in the industry must be contacted and engaged to test the products. Recently, I've been involved in the development of a lithium-ion fire extinguishing product. However, getting it to market clearly showed that fundamental processes are not in place such as a clear vision, mission turned into a strategy and a marketing plan to reach markets within the mining, local government and manufacturing industry. This is vital for a successful start-up.
