Strong experience in designing and project managing renewable energy and hybrid power systems across the industrial and mining sectors. Project background includes work on solar PV plants, battery energy storage systems (BESS), wind generation, hybrid microgrids, ranging from 100kW to 10MW+.
Led and supported multiple renewable energy projects from front-end engineering design (FEED) through to preliminary design, feasibility analysis, and documentation development. This includes serving as Lead Engineer on a hybrid microgrid project for Eskom - coordinated multidisciplinary teams to develop the preliminary system design, integration strategy, and project budget.
Experience also covers the design and engineering of solar PV systems (rooftop, ground-mount, and hybrid integrations), as well as resource assessments, system sizing, and energy yield evaluations. Involved in strategic market studies, including the Western Limb opportunity assessment, - I identified mining operations suitable for behind-the-meter renewable solutions through financial, operational, and energy demand analysis.
Across all projects, I focus on delivering technically robust, reliable, and cost-effective renewable energy solutions, supported by structured engineering practices, cross-functional coordination, and a strong understanding of client needs.
