Primary purpose of current/most recent position:
responsible for leading technical initiatives and overseeing engineering projects across the division. This role entails strategic planning and developing innovative solutions to enhance production efficiency. Key Performance Areas include the following: SHER (Group LTIFR), OEE (Group operational effeciencies and throughput), Asset Care Performance and Maturity (Group performance against all major reliability engineering aspects such as maintenance strategy, maintenance OPEX/CAPEX), Divisional/Group Projects Execution (Managing all strategic expansion projects from a technical perspective).
Core elements or functions that must operate effectively in order to achieve primary purpose:
- Develop and drive technical strategy by means of monthly steering committee forums with all sites and divisional technical teams. Report back to Group Technical Executive on such.
- Keep abreast of global development trends in all aspects of the manufacturing process, and thus drive innovation initiatives related to process, technology, materials.
- Manage and lead directly a team of experienced engineers against the different disciplines of our process, with dotted line associated of all site technical teams.
