Primary purpose of current/most recent position:
Currently I specialize on the blast optimization and analysis. I design the blast and also make sure that the blast plan is executed according to the plan. I also do investigations and route cause analysis in case of an undesirable blast results. I report to the mine on the technical aspects of the blast.
Core elements or functions that must operate effectively in order to achieve primary purpose:
Drilling must be correct and also mine planning must also assist in getting the correct sequencing.
The product that is used must be of the correct quality
The design of the blocks must be correct for better fragmentation.

I have a combination of both technical and management skills as I have been in these positions on my 10 years' experience in mining

Site/operations manager - I have a two years experience in site management so i would like to be a site manager and improve from there.
Senior Explosive Engineer - i am currently working as a Blast engineer so i am looking forward to being a senior.
