A qualified engineer with a B.Eng in Mechatronics and a Post Grad Diploma in Business Admin. I have held various roles automotive tier 1 supplier and have grown immensely, while taking on more and more responsibility to be a value adding member of the company. I am a South African citizen, and a German passport, making international travel substantially easier. Being a highly skilled engineer with over 10 years of experience, I have grown from strength to strength in the company and am currently in an asset management role. My inclination to plan in detail and in advance, combined with my adaptability make this role highly enjoyable for me.
My role encompasses the management of CAPEX spend and processes, including the strategic 5yr development plan for the site and the cost saving initiative workstream that I drive. In addition, I manage site facilities and the MRO (engineering) stores.
In my time at my current employer, I have been involved with and in charge of various topics such as occupational safety (including machine safety), process safety, site MHI’s and MHI installations, planned maintenance. In addition, I am part of various global teams.
In conclusion, I believe my multi-skilled background (strong involvement maintenance and production departments) gives me a better understanding of and an aptitude for any role in technical management and operations management environments.
