Primary purpose of current/most recent position:
Ensure the Quality management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 3834 and PED/AD2000 MERKBLATT) are maintained and adhered to by the factory. 50% of my time is spent in the Research and Development department where I assist with designing new products, current design improvements of welding and proof testing jigs, factory machinery and other custom design requests.

Description of self, along with greater purpose and passions:
I have over 5 years of technical and hands-on experience in the metal fabrication and manufacturing industry. I have acquired extensive experience in welding fabrications, metallurgy, quality control and project management over the years and worked in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 17025 and ISO 3834-2 respectively. Previously attained comprehensive knowledge in destructive and non-destructive testing (NDT) of metals and welds for conformance with national code requirements (ASME section VIII & IX, EN ISO 15614, and AWS D1.1 to name a few) and testing welding personnel for certification. I have also gained comprehensive knowledge in engineering design, using various design platforms such as AutoCAD, Solid Works and Solid Edge (3D modelling, technical drawings & FEA) to name a few. I am also very comfortable with SigmaNest for plasma and laser cutting.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities of ideal position:
Coordinating suppliers and verifying quality standards in accordance with the requirements of their organization. Identifying technical issues and getting to the root of the problem. Maintaining compliance to ISO 9001:2015 through conducting audits, investigating all non-conformances and supporting the supplier in developing & implementing improvement plans.
