I have had 7 years’ experience managing an international production facility . Prior to that I had 6 years’ experience in the design/development and production engineering departments. I have strong analytical skills, economic and commercial awareness of new trends to work both individually and with my colleagues to drive a winning team. My leadership skills have developed, allowing me to spontaneously interact with ethnic diverse populations of all age groups.

Primary purpose of current/most recent position:
The role controls and manages the overall department budget including CAPEX, expenses and headcount.
Core elements or functions that must operate effectively in order to achieve primary purpose:
• Overall management of the Batching Production Department
• Assure that a high level of health and safety is achieved
• Oversee, manage and facilitate production activities across a 24hour shift pattern within the Washcoat Department
• Ensure that the department is staffed with personnel of appropriate caliber, skills and ensure that they are effectively trained and developed
• Ensure full traceability and reconciliation of PGMs and high value materials on the Johnson Matthey South Africa site
• Meet business targets as well as satisfy yearly internal/external Finance, Security, Quality and Customer PGM/Raw material audits
• Plant Capacity Planning, Budget and involvement in Capital Projects (defining, justifying, specifying and operation)
• Ensure continuous improvement of all aspects of the Production process using LEAN Manufacturing Principles
• Actively participate in behavioral change initiatives
