Completed multi-million-rand projects as both a consultant, design engineer and a project manager. 14 years+ of experience in engineering and built environment including management and implementation of mechanical services in health infrastructure projects and railway infrastructure to support continuous improvements within the maintenance department (strong focus on conducting maintenance management, root-cause failure analysis, improving equipment reliability, availability, and quality, promoting safety, and application of policies). Experience as a Mechanical Professional includes design reviews in infrastructure development, project management of engineering projects, providing engineering assistance, validating the life cycle plans for the mechanical components, conducting root cause failure analysis, quality checks on components and wagons after scheduled/unscheduled repairs, technical report writing, maintenance planning, and design.
Experience further extends to defining the scope of work, management of engineering/construction contracts (NEC 3, JBCC, SLA), design management as well as facility management (design and development HVAC system (chilled water system/DX system), wet services (hot, cold and fire water), technical assessment to define project scope, align the project in respect of legal and regulation documents, bid and tenders (as part of the bid specification team, tender briefing and evaluation), conducting interviews as a panel member, assessment and management of various projects).
