Discipline of subordinates as well as their labour. Make sure everyone is working hard and clever. Making sure best management practices are introduced and followed through with. The acquisition of inputs in time for farming operations. The regulation of inputs as well as keeping good records. Changing all of what was holding the company back and introducing scientific methods to eliminate crop failure.

Description of self, along with greater purpose and passions:

I get on with people and am not this “high-and-mighty” manager who can’t understand the real issues of everyday work. I have been there and done that, I know by experience what each job description demands. However, I have gained even more experience and am more aware of how important it is to drive rather than help people along. Goal setting and planning is paramount to success and anyone who bucks the management after some intervention/instruction without remedy can be detrimental to a business and ought to be removed sooner than later.

Spending time with family and friends. Enjoy the beach and wild life. Walking Trails/horses and swimming. I enjoy travelling and 4×4 trips especially around Africa. Fishing. Making money and supporting my family. Top priority is my families well-being.

Loyalty to management even in the hard times. Looking after families and even providing old age pension for when one’s use becomes less desirable (over 60). A company that is financially secure is more desirable then one strapped for cash.
