Primary purpose: Responsible for obtaining and maintaining long term key customers by comprehending their requirements. The ideal candidate will be proficient in building strong relationships with strategic customers. The incumbent will be the lead point of contact for all key client matters, anticipate the client’s needs, work within the company to ensure deadlines for the client are met, and help the client succeed. The goal is to contribute to sustaining and growing the company to achieve long-term success.
Travel requirements: Valid passport, ability to travel within and outside of South Africa as and when required.
Job description / core competencies:
Implementing and driving the company sales strategy in the Project House industry.
Develop trust relationships with a portfolio of major clients to ensure they do not turn to competition.
Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs, requirements and future projects or opportunities.
Expand the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives.
Ensure the correct products and services are delivered to customers in a timely manner.
Serve as the link of communication between key customers with internal and or regional sales teams.
Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust.
Anticipating key account changes and improvements and the possible engagement of the company in these.
Play an integral part in generating new sales that will turn into long-lasting relationships.
Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics.

Job Qualification & Experience:
Grade 12 (minimum requirement)
Technical qualification, at a tertiary level, relevant to the required outputs
Qualification in Marketing (Beneficial)
Experience & abilities:
Four to five years’ previous work experience in sales, key account management, or relevant experience.
Proven track record, meeting or exceeding targets.
Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications as well as CRM software.
The ability to build rapport with key clients.
The ability to handle multiple client accounts.
Strong negotiation and leadership skills.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be a listener, a presenter, and a people person.
