Job Description:

Enshrine Placements have been retained to source Engineering Professionals for the Largest Single Energy Storage Monomer Capacity Project in Africa, for an international client setting up operations in Johannesburg.

This EPC project – located in the Matzikama region of the Western Cape with a contract value of ZAR 1.85 billion – includes design, supply, installation and commissioning of a new 80MW/320MWh electrochemical energy storage station and expansion work of a 132kV substation. This is our client’s first ever overseas electrochemical energy storage project; they topped the evaluation results in both technical and commercial standards, competing against 10 top general contractors.

They currently have an exciting new opportunity available for a Stakeholder Engagement Officer to build and maintain collaborative and consultative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including community groups and associations to promote open communication and facilitate delivery of best practice communication and community engagement and consultation initiatives.

Position details:
Type: 1 year contract with the potential to go longer.

Job description / core competencies:

Project Portfolio Management

  • Build and maintain collaborative and consultative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including community groups and associations to promote open communication and facilitate delivery of best practice communication and community engagement and consultation initiatives.

Project and Program Stakeholder Engagement

  • Deliver stakeholder engagement activities to support development of effective project working relationships and to identify and respond to stakeholder needs and concerns.
  • Build sound working relationships with all relevant stakeholders, delivery partners and 3rd parties.
  • Ensure the effective facilitation of all stakeholder’s input.
  • Efficient and effective use of informal and formal communication lines thereby ensuring a participative project delivery culture.

Operational Compliance

  • Identify shortcomings in compliance processes, systems, and procedures, and develop ad hoc solutions to problems within an assigned unit or discipline.
  • To identify operational issues that could impede the successful implementation of a project and make recommendations to management to take appropriate corrective action to address these issues.
  • To implement sufficient governance practices to ensure cross-functional alignment and understanding
  • Improvement / Innovation
  • Implement improvements and provide feedback on them. Use change management systems and protocols to provide routine supportive services.
  • Proactive analysis of business conducted monthly – considering feedback received, trends analyzed, and action plan put in place to test, improve, innovate systems, processes, and communication. Find new ways of generating efficiencies and effectiveness across business / department.

Job Qualification & Experience:

Grade 12 with Human Resource or Public Relation formal qualification.
