Job description / core competencies:
Assemble new crushers and prepare on test beds to test run.
Fill out test certificates and complete QCP documentation
Installation of new and refurbished crushers on site
Assist engineering personnel with final commissioning of new equipment
Visit customers upon request
Complete fault findings on all equipment
Compile reports on findings and suggest recommendations
Assist with information related to quotations to customers
Compile spares requirements to do repairs
Assist Planner to plan tasks
Supervise execution of planned tasks
Complete timesheets and submit
Responsible for maintenance of workshop equipment and housekeeping
Action safety talks and assist with training od subordinates
Assist with general activities as may be required from time to time
Contribute towards overall business growth
Assist with 24/7 standby with an hour response call out service

Use of Microsoft Office packages for: e-mail correspondence, electronic calendar; producing documents; compiling statistics, spreadsheets (if required), databases.
Web front Interface with Intranet and Internet
Repairs and refurbishments of all machinery
Do risk assessments
Test run equipment
Conduct fault findings on all equipment
Following strict procedures and processes dictated by ISO processes and IMS Engineering’s policies and procedures.
Do safety inspections as per mine health and safety requirements
Responsible to comply with company safety requirements and to ensure that all personnel under his control conform accordingly.
Descisions and judgements:
Decisions and judgements regarding organising events, meetings, interviews (in conjunction with HR), training (in conjunction with HR), etc. for the Services Department.
Up-to-date information to be recorded regarding Services and meetings
Dealing with general enquiries, deciding when to refer up.

Physical – Site inspection and refurbishments/ repairs
Mental – Supporting team with a variety and continually changing workload, tasks and projects. – Working to deadlines – Unpredictable demands of the job and interruptions – Accuracy in machinery repairs and maintenance.
Emotional – Exposure to confidential information at a Senior Management level
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
Certificate/Technical Diploma in relevant field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Service or similar field
Ability to compile quotations
Knowledge of the mining industry
Knowledge of crushing equipment
Excellent communication skills on all levels
Physically fit to work on crushing equipment
