Position details:
Type: Permanent
Primary purpose: The successful candidate will be a salesperson who can solve business issues for clients by selling them off-the-shelf products as well as more creative solutions using the company’s capabilities, datasets and partners.
As a Solution Salesperson in the location and commerce vertical, you will be responsible for proactively seeking out new clients in commerce and e-commerce, and retaining existing clients, in order to meet your revenue targets and earn attractive commissions.
Travel requirements: Local travel to clients.

You will be responsible for:
New business sales and client retention
Achieving individual targets (revenue, margins and costs)
Acquiring and developing new customers and ensuring retention of existing customers with  tactical and operational solutions
Supporting team targets by contributing your strengths to other members
Becoming expertly familiar with relevant products and services
Writing and presenting high quality proposals
Interpreting the key features and benefits of these solutions in line with the client’s priorities, and using your knowledge of the base capabilities to adapt for the client’s specific needs
Developing and managing account plans
Contracting from templates
Sales administration and other duties that may be assigned from time to time based upon the requirements of the organization
Client service
Demonstrations and product introductions for clients
Maintaining excellent customer service and owning the client
Provide support on client-specific solutions
Attend training session and seminars as and when required within the service areas
Attend client functions as and when required.

Job Qualification & Experience:

  • Appropriate tertiary education – degree-educated
  • Knowledge of geo-spatial technologies will be advantageous but is not necessary
  • Valid drivers’ licence and own reliable transport
  • You should have 5+ years sales experience with a strong ability to determine what customers need.
  • Demonstrable experience in problem-solving and solutions selling is critical – simple and complex ways of solving a new problem.
  • You should also have experience and high level of maturity in dealing with people at different seniority levels.
  • Full competence in Microsoft Office suite
  • Basic knowledge of data analytics is beneficial
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-driven, finding opportunities
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Business skills and negotiation skills
  • Result-orientated
  • Time management skills and prioritisation skills
