Reports to: General Manager
Travel requirements: Willing to travel within different regions.
The successful candidate must have excellent organisational and communication skills and must be able to work on their own.
This position is to maintain and grow our customer base and sales revenue in all regions.
The candidate will be reporting to the General Manager and the position will be based at our Johannesburg branch.
Job description / core competencies:
Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.
Meet budget and sales targets for regional customers and monitor turnover monthly.
Reach out to customer leads through cold calling and store visits.
Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments.
Present, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers.
Assist with stock deliveries to retail outlets.
Identify in-store promotional requirements and promote the products.
Assist and train merchandisers/customer reps on our products.
Adjusts content of sales presentations by studying the type of sales outlet or trade factor.
Provide Management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
Keeps Management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques.
Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.
Attending trade exhibitions.
Adhere to high ethical standards and comply with all regulations/applicable laws.

Job Qualification & Experience:
Business Management qualification or equivalent.
Proven Sales Representative work experience.
Relationship management skills and openness to feedback.
Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs.
Excellent selling, negotiation and communication skills and proven to be target driven.
