Their annual turnover is over R9 billion, they have over 7000 employees and are partly owned by an investment holding company whose shares are listed on the JSE and the Luxembourg Stock Exchange.

In a highly competitive market, and as the brand ambassador, our Sales Manager will build on existing relationships and acquire new clients so as to ensure growth of bread sales in the informal and formal market, ensure that the delivery of bread is made on time and in full, manage a sales team and motivate and improve on the sales business as a whole.

The ideal incumbent will have at least 5 years of experience in a similar FMCG position, HR and IR experience, generic sales experience and a formal qualification in business and/or sales.

Position details:

Type: Permanent
Reports to: Bakery Manager
Primary purpose: In a highly competitive market, this position must ensure growth of bread sales in the informal and formal market and, that the delivery of bread is made on time and in full. It is also required that you manage a sales team, as well as to motivate  and improve on the sales business as a whole.
Travel requirements: Based at site with requirement to visit customers

Job Qualification & Experience:

Qualification/Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar FMCG position
  • HR and IR management experience
  • Generic sales experience (preferably FMCG)
  • Business management and/or sales qualification
