Our client, an OEM for its products, providing integrated bearing solutions to improve asset reliability, currently has an opportunity for a Sales Engineer to implement and drive the company’s Industrial sales strategy within the region, including setting and delivering agreed targets, maximising sales growth and optimizing profits through effective go-to-market strategies. Also responsible for establishing plans and strategies to expand the customer base in the region and contribute to the development of customers and authorised distributors in the region.
The successful incumbent will have a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
Primary functional objectives of the role
Promote the complete Company’s industrial market (OE & AM) portfolio in the region.
Achieve agreed sales, profit and other agreed targets.
Develop and drive strong sales and segment growth strategies, closely aligned to Key Account structures.
Drive the expansion of the value proposition and thus sales of the 5 technology areas.
Support the deployment of the REP strategy in the region.
Optimise the total business life cycle of the Company’s offering.
Sales funnel management.
Lead negotiations for local contracts and contracts management.
Manage and develop the Distribution network through the “More with Company” program in the region.
Manage and develop high quality relationships with distributors, OEMs and end users.
Deploy price leadership strategy and value based selling (using DSP).

Full utilisation of Siebel for planning visits, documenting visits, activities and opportunities.
Number of success stories and DSPs.

Job Qualification & Experience:
3 – 5 years proven sales experience, meeting or exceeding targets
Demonstrable customer focus
Experienced in establishing and developing strategic and new business
Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent business understanding and knowledge of financial tools
High energy levels and drive
Ability and willingness to travel
Value selling experience in the industrial market would be advantageous
A good understanding of the market and industries of the Region
An appropriate tertiary qualification (Degree or Diploma)
A valid and unendorsed driver’s license
A technical qualification or background in mechanical engineering
