Reports to: General Manager Sales (serves part of EXCO)
Primary purpose: Responsible for the sales of process control systems and associated software and hardware solutions within automation and control solutions. This function is responsible for the creation and maintenance of sustainable customer relationships. The scope of this role entails hardware and software products and solutions.
Travel requirements: Extensive travelling
Job description / core competencies:

  • Pursue new customers
  • Face to face consultative selling
  • Monthly sales forecast report for Systems day to day sales and Projects
  • Execute defined sales strategies to win and exceed sales budget
  • Engineered solutions and assistance to customers in consultation with PSS Engineering team
  • Consult with internal support structures for engineering solutions to assist customers
  • System Solution presentations and demonstrations in conjunction with Product/System Engineering Specialist
  • Present Process Systems solution presentations and demonstrations
  • Follow up on quoted opportunities
  • Administer sales quote register and company CRM
  • Provide effective after-sales service to customers
  • Create and maintain relationships with new stakeholders
  • Gather customer information to identify new opportunities
  • Project based opportunities to be identified and pursued in addition to normal sales pursuits
  • Develop and engage new Markets for Process Systems

Job Qualification & Experience:

Academic qualifications:

  • Grade 12
  • Trade test (Instrumentation) and / or National Diploma (Instrumentation)

Experience:

  • Sales experience required
  • 3 – 5 years process plant maintenance experience
  • 1 -2 years control systems project experience
  • 2-3 years control systems sales experience
  • Driver’s license required
