Job Description:

Established well over a century ago, this global player provides industry leading drilling services, equipment, and aftermarket parts & services as well as specialised tooling.

Markets served include energy, mining, oil exploration, production drilling and downhole exploration.

The Inventory Manager will have a Regional responsibility in EMEA, and will be required to work with supply chain, procurement, sales, and drilling services operations to execute a stocking strategy that balances customer satisfaction and inventory utilization.

The individual will be required to provide strategy, leadership and collaborate with multifunctional teams, work on problems of diverse scope and exercise judgment within generally defined practices and methods to resolve issues and obtain satisfactory solutions.

This position is responsible for achieving targets for Inventory Value Management and Inventory Turns. Works as the demand analyst to collect data, define problems, establish facts and reports, and draw valid conclusions using John Galt software and additional information gathered through team. This position is part of the Supply Chain Organization and works closely with Product Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Procurement, Drilling Services, Warehousing and Transportation.

Key responsibilities:

Reviews issues and email requests regarding the demand, works with Products sales and Drilling Services customers to adjust if necessary and capture changes in demand planning software (John Galt) and Oracle, as needed.
Supports SIOP team on the forecasting process for Canada, for both Products and Drilling Services teams.
Collect and analyze data to be utilized for decisions related to demand adjustments, phase in and out of products.
Communicates regularly with material managers, sales and administration personnel to understand sales programs, customer expectations, forecast validation.
Works with the supply chain procurement team to review supply data in the system.
Monitor and report performance metrics such as fill rates, days on hand, lead time on time to promise, stock outs.
Optimize inventory levels using statistical models to design reorder levels.
Ability to prioritize workload and works with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines.

Job Qualification & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years’ supply chain related experience.
• Strong statistical, accounting or business analytics skills, attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret and summarize complex and large data sets. Ability to formulate actionable reports using excel and statistical knowledge.
• Experience with ERP systems – Oracle is a Plus.
• Fluent in English.
