Job Description:
Enshrine Placements have been retained to source Engineering Professionals for the Largest Single Energy Storage Monomer Capacity Project in Africa, for an international client setting up operations in Johannesburg.
This EPC project – located in the Matzikama region of the Western Cape with a contract value of ZAR 1.85 billion – includes design, supply, installation and commissioning of a new 80MW/320MWh electrochemical energy storage station and expansion work of a 132kV substation. This is our client’s first ever overseas electrochemical energy storage project; they topped the evaluation results in both technical and commercial standards, competing against 10 top general contractors.
They currently have an exciting new opportunity available for a Project Manager to manage a team of staff responsible for the delivery of projects. To work with stakeholders to plan and schedule the project, review progress regularly and make any necessary changes or adjustments to ensure that it meets its goals and deadlines.

Primary purpose:
As an Intermediate Project Manager, you’ll manage a team of staff responsible for the delivery of projects. You will work with stakeholders to plan and schedule the project, review progress regularly and make any necessary changes or adjustments to ensure that it meets its goals and deadlines. You may have several teams reporting to you or be able to handle everything yourself.
Job description / core competencies:
Proposes and coordinates various project management activities.
Creates appropriate documentation and documents project status with the client through verbal presentations, reports, and meetings.
Co-ordinating and chairing weekly project meetings.
Updating and distributing weekly progress reports (including minutes and action logs).
Monitoring of project deliverables and taking corrective measures.
Managing project risks and issues.
Managing Scope changes and impacts and ensuring business care is kept up to date and customer signs off are completed.
Chair program or project meetings and prepare the necessary documentation, Such as minutes, SteerCo, Weekly Status and Stakeholders, and Daily stand-ups.
Direct and motivate the project/program team(s) to ensure successful delivery of scope, within time, cost, and quality agreements.
Updating of Project Plans.
Great interpersonal skills of people/roles management Strong ability to organize thoughts and documentation.
Systematic problem-solving ability, high Performance / Client focused.
Positive Flexibility to changes in working environment.
Good interpersonal / team building skills.

Job Qualification & Experience:
4+ years of project management experience.
Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Project Management required.
