Job Description:
Position would suit a candidate with a B-tech, alternative experience will be considered.
Good knowledge of piping materials, piping codes (ASME), valves and other piping components.
Proficient in use of drawing software (Plant3D or similar, Autocad and ideally Inventor as well).
Must be competent in reading and generating P&ID’s, datasheets and specifications.
Able to produce General Arrangement layout and section views and piping isometric drawings, pipe support detail drawings and bill of materials.
Review drawings for compliance with specifications and codes/standards.
Able to work independently and upgrade piping specifications.
Liaise with vendors/suppliers, issue technical clarifications and resolve technical issues.
Assist in the drawing up of Process and Instrumentation drawings for new or existing plants.
After approval of the P&ID’s:
Carry out piping / design and preparation of general arrangement drawings, elevations, section views and detailed isometrics.
Visiting sites to take measurements, create site sketches or scanning (training will be provided).
