Job Description:

Led by a young and dynamic management team, this is a relatively new open pit mine with an estimated 35-year life cycle. The client is a private company, not a big corporate, that has in the past contracted for the government but now has their own concession.

Greenfields development of the area’s coal mine commenced in 2019 with first coal processing through the crush and wash in 2020. The coal seams comprise of 3 distinct coal types i.e. thermal coal, industry (metallurgical) coal and coking coal. Current installed capacity for phase 1 of the project is set at 350tph crush and screening plant feeding a decoupled 100tph wet jig. A total run of mine tonnage of 120,000t is mined monthly.
