Our client currently has an opportunity for a Logistics Supervisor at their Open Cast Chrome mine based in a remote area of Zimbabwe. This position is suited to single expats and involves a rotation of 28 days on and 10 days off. Flights, housing and meals will be provided by the company.
The Logistics Supervisor role is for an individual who is highly motivated and dedicated with a strong desire to learn new skills, be able to work independently as well as part of a team, enjoy new challenges and show a lot of initiative.
Administration and safe keeping of all in and out bound site documentation;
Daily allocations of trucks for loading on different plants and sites;
Control bagging operation
Control contractor allocation
Grade control to respective destinations
Sampling of dispatched product
Control all equipment supplied for loading bags and trucks;
Control gangs allocated for loading and weighbridges;
Daily reconciliation with dispatches and incoming loads;
Housekeeping in area of responsibility;
Daily interaction with Zimx and daily reporting on export paper work;
Flight bookings for site personal;
Airport shuttle control;
Weekly and monthly reports;
Stock control on bags;
Town LDV control and daily deliveries and pick up of goods and equipment in Zimbabwe;
Job Qualification & Experience:
Minimum Grade 12 with Maths and a related tertiary qualification;
Minimum 5-year experience in a similar field within a Mining Environment;
Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills required;
Ability to work independently;
High sense of responsibility and accuracy;
Be able to work under pressure;
