Our client require a Learning & Development Manager. To lead the design, development and delivery of relevant and appropriate curricula suited to a broad range of industries, liaising with internal and external stakeholders and aligning curricula outcomes to ensure strategic alignment to their business objectives and in accordance with the company’s standards. The incumbent will further be responsible for quality assurance in the development of new curricula for accreditation for Academy and the wider group of companies including the sourcing of content developers, the formulation of beneficial business relationships with other training and academic institutions and the management of all external learning and development initiatives
2 Year Internship Contract
Reports to: CEO
Build and maintain a good relationship with key stakeholders at various levels within different academic and government training related institutions, DHET, QCTO and SETA’s
Assessment of the educational/teaching and learning knowledge and skills of heads of programmes, developers and moderators and the development and implementation of individual and collective strategies and interventions for improving these
Identify and reach out to influential academic organizations that will can assist in promoting training initiatives.
Work with Marketing and Brand Value department to arrange marketing events such as launches, roadshows and recruitment events.
Responsible for managing and coordinating client’’ WSP’s and ATR’s
Promote Academy to universities, colleges and SETA’’.
Develop training programs within Academy’s standards, quality Assurance of academic material and assessments including interventions as needed
Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure quality delivery of training
Get involved in special projects

Job Qualification & Experience:
5 years’ experience in tertiary education, preferably in a role that focuses on maximizing return on investment of learning and development including workplace skills planning and annual training reporting. At least 2-3 skills development facilitation with at least one SETA, preferably with more.
At least 3 years’ experience consulting to clients or external parties on learning and development
Experience in development and quality assurance of learning material and assessments at different levels and modes of delivery is essential
Training capacity from Design to promotion and implementation
Proven ability to lead others, work in a team and manage work to successful completion
Superior Communication skills (written and verbal in English)
Must be able to travel and work outside normal working hours when required
Other Skills or Competencies:
Excellent presentation skills.
Computer literacy (Above average knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc)
Good service spirit and strong communication ability.
Own transport and valid Driver’s License essential.
