Job Description:

Our client within the interior decorating industry is seeking a Junior Personal Assistant. The ideal candidate must be soft spoken, well-presented and enjoy working within a small, entrepreneurial environment that is mission-driven, results-driven and community-oriented. The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Providing administrative assistance, such as writing and editing e-mails, drafting memos, and preparing communications on the owner’s behalf
  • Maintaining comprehensive and accurate records
  • Organizing meetings, including scheduling, sending reminders, and organizing catering when necessary
  • Answering phone calls in a polite and professional manner
  • Welcoming visitors and identifying the purpose of their visit before directing them to the appropriate department
  • Managing the owner’s calendar, including making appointments and prioritizing the most sensitive matters and running personal errands
  • Make travel and accommodation arrangements

Job Qualification & Experience:


  • 3 Years work experience as a Junior Personal Assistant or similar role
  • Excellent MS Office knowledge
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills (Afrikaans & English)
  • Discretion and confidentiality


  • Grade 12
  • MS Office
  • Secretarial qualification or similar
