Job Description:

We require your stretch blow moulding experience in the plastic industry, your knowledge of electronics, hydraulics and pneumatics and your technical capability to operate and diagnose problems on machines such as Aoki or Nissei ISBM.

Position details:

Type: Permanent

Key performance areas and duties:

  • Tool change, start-up and setting of machines.
  • Adjust the machinery during its operation as required.
  • Total running, basic maintenance and basic repairs of machines.
  • Diagnosing and problem solving on machines.
  • Perform daily and routine maintenance on ISBM machines.
  • Mould changes.
  • Setting and running of machines, to achieve outputs as set by the plan.
  • General running & maintenance of machines.
  • Ensure smooth operation of daily activities in line with the ISBM function.
  • Ensure set targets are achieved and deliverables are met.
  • Raw material knowledge and control is a requirement.
  • Ensure all machinery and related tooling is kept in a clean and good working order.
  • Ensure that all safety interlocks are in working order.
  • Monitor all auxiliary equipment.
  • Maintaining good housekeeping and a safe work environment.
  • Ensure that changeovers are performed accurately and timeously.
  • Adhere to safety procedures.

Job Qualification & Experience:

  • Post matric qualification in a technical field.
  • Previous experience on Aoki or Nissei ISBM machines.
  • Experience in the plastics industry with a strong technical background is essential.
  • Technically minded.
  • Must be dedicated and self-motivated.
  • Ability to operate Aoki or Nissei ISBM machines.
  • Fair working knowledge of electronics, hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Ability to diagnose problems.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken word).
  • Ability to work in a pressurised environment.
  • Ability to work without supervision.
  • Ability to work shifts.
