Job Description:

We are looking for a dynamic and dedicated Technical Manager to handle new business, grow existing customer relationships, and market our client’s comprehensive line of wireless, networking, VoIP, surveillance, and fibre optic products.

Requirements: Minimum of 6 years’ experience in the ICT industry (Wireless/Fibre/Networking/VoIP/Surveillance) in a technical, hands-on role – non-negotiable. Experience with a broad range of ICT products/technologies/hardware etc, required.

  • Valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
  • Fluent in Afrikaans (essential) and additional languages (advantageous).

Job description / core competencies:

Product Management:

  • Specifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to current and prospective clients.
  • Research new technologies and products in the market and develop and introduce new products  into the company’s portfolio after evaluation and testing of the product.
  • Analyse ICT environment relative to the performance of the company’s products and report and recommend as required.
  • Grow the company’s existing portfolio.

Technical Support:

  • Provide high-end technical support to the company’s clients on a broad range of products (wireless/networking/fibre/ VoIP/ Surveillance) as and when required, timeously and ensure customer satisfaction.

Training and Development

  • Research and develop a training academy so that the company can register as an accrediting training provider and offer accredited training courses to the company’s current and prospective clients.
  • Continuously expand on training courses, ensuring quality of courses and customer satisfaction.

Job Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in the ICT industry (Wireless/Fibre/Networking/VoIP/Surveillance in a technical, hands-on role) – non-negotiable.
  • Experience with a broad range of ICT products/technologies/hardware etc, required.
  • Be well-groomed and presentable.
  • Excellent communication skills, be a team player, work well with others.
  • Be a nice person and have a good sense of humour and upbeat personality, we are nice people and enjoy spending our time with like-minded people (so a strong team player).
  • Ability to work under pressure, have high levels of energy, perseverance, and patience. We require someone proactive, passionate about sales and career oriented.
  • Be fully computer literate.
  • Be methodical and meticulous.
