With emphasis on maintaining close customer relationships and partnerships, and on increasing market share within the region, the Sales Engineer will provide optimum solutions to French-speaking clients; a portfolio of technology-driven and high-quality products and services to the mining, mineral beneficiation and power generation industries, which caters for diverse requirements of most mineral beneficiation needs.
Primary purpose: To achieve maximum sales profitability and growth with French speaking clients in Western African countries.
Job description / core competencies:
- 90% of existing business is retained
- Market share is increased by obtaining new business (Western Africa)
- Monthly and annual sales budget is set and met
- Products and services are delivered to customer as per SLA
- Area sales strategy and targets are set and managed
- Improvement areas are identified and strategized
- Market research is conducted in designated areas
- Opportunities are supported with point of sale material
- Marketing events and activities are arranged as per strategy
- Market share is increased through new business
- Company HR and disciplinary policy is adhered to
- Monthly and annual targets and objectives are set and agreed
- Technical direction is provided as required
- Sales force KRA’s are managed
Job Qualification & Experience:
- Sales and marketing tertiary qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering field is advantageous.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within a similar environment. Ideally in mining industry
- Quality orientated, problem solver, good communication, planning and organising skills
- Fluent in French
