Job Description:

We are searching for a talented polymer product Application Technician with proven experience working in a technology-driven environment.

This position will report to and work closely with the Operations Director.

Responsible for high quality polymer applications for wear protection and repair coatings in demanding industrial environments.

You work as part of a team but would routinely perform work independently and maintain a high level of accuracy and safety, while performing your duties.
Interface with sub-contractors and clients with regard to technical solutions and support.
Ability to apply the correct product application as per client and business requirements
Adhering to workplace safety policies, regulations and compliances.
Maintaining a clean and environmentally safe work area.
Compile service reports weekly and monthly for customers and supervisor.
Maintain high standard of quality and safety.
Manage quality service including on-site and customer interactions.
Liaise with operations team and provide technical support for continuous improvement.
On site problem solving.
Performing other related duties as assigned.
Provide regular feedback with regard to tasks to management as defined by business requirements.
Travelling will be required to attend to site requirements at various locations as needed by the client and the business.
Customer support in the form of standby and callouts may be required.
Major industries served are the foundry, automotive, steel, chemical & petrochemical, oil & gas, construction and power generation.
Have a relentless focus on customer service.
Ensure and communicate expert technical service during customer visits.

Job Qualification & Experience:

A minimum of a Matric with 2 to 3 years of solid technical experience in the coatings industry, able to work out in the field. Good knowledge of polymer applications.
Driver’s license (own vehicle essential).
Standby and callouts may be required at times.
Analyse issues and solve problems.
Ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
Execute quality work with feedback according to deadlines business results.
Show initiative; self-managed.
Ability to function in a team. Interpersonal and client relationship skills to interact with people at all levels.
Ability to work precisely and methodically with minimum supervision.
