Job Description:

My client is an innovative mining company with 30 years of combined mining experience as well as contract mining experience. They believe in safe and cost-effective methods of mining and their people are their key to winning!
They are currently looking to recruit an Engineering Foreman / Maintenance Supervisor.

Position details:
Type: Permanent
Job description / core competencies:

Assess and approve work as identified within an area of accountability related to equipment condition.
Prioritize the timely execution of work based on condition of risk of equipment.
Responsible for ensuring the continuous availability of all consumable materials and equipment to facilitate the smooth flow of work and to avoid production delays.
Supervise the execution of the weekly work schedule and approved break in work.
Be conversant with the applicable Legislations, applicable Codes of Good Practice on HME/TMM’s .
Ensure and Maintain Legal Compliance.
Contributes to the attainment of team and organisational goals by demonstrating team commitment and collaboration.
Supervises the execution of maintenance activities related to process control systems within an operation, including the software and hardware for these systems.
Supervises the execution of tasks or data gathering related to conditioning monitoring as defined by Maintenance A&I.
Co-ordinate commissioning activities related to modifications and small project.

Location (country, city): Northern Cape

Job Qualification & Experience:

Trade certificate (Diesel Mechanic, Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic, Millwright) – required.
Candidates must be well experienced and have a proven track record working on and maintaining plant equipment of which at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity – required. Technical Certificate/Diploma will be advantageous.
Sound knowledge of Condition Monitoring and Planning Principles.
Proficiency in SAP and MS Office is essential.
Valid Driver’s License is essential.
Ability to identify and assess key operational equipment risk factors and problems at an early stage is essential.
Analytical and a proven ability to solve problems is essential.
Experience on ERP system will be advantageous.
Experience on CAT Inspect and SIS will be advantageous.
Experience of utilizing MS office including Excel and Outlook.
Experience of working as part of an effective team.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, Organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
