Reports to: Group Chief Finance Officer
Job description / core competencies:

  • Ensure that the Finance Managers and Manager – Group Costing & Pricing meet the expectation in line with the job descriptions given to them.
  • Implementation of system improvement.
  • Assisting in working capital management at group level.
  • Ensuring that the consolidated Group Management Accounts abridged report is presented by 10th of every month in agreed formats.
  • Ensuring that the comprehensive Group Management Accounts with narratives and notes is presented by every 15th of every month in agreed formats.
  • Group cost control in line with budget.
  • Ensure group risk, assets & insurance are adequately managed to zero loss for the group.
  • Consolidate group financial statements to be finalized and audited by mid-April every year.
  • In conjunction with the CFO, formulate the strategic operational objectives for the finance department in line with the overall corporate plan.
  • Monitor the achievement of the company’s revenue/ profitability and advise accordingly.
  • Coordinate effective treasury management to ensure effective cash flow and cash flow analysis.
  • Continuously design and maintain comprehensive internal controls to ensure best practice and compliance with GAAP and applicable laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
  • Monitoring new developments at company/national and international level and assess how they impact on the company’s financial performance.
  • Ensure the company compiles with all laws and regulations as regard to matters touching finance.
  • Monitor departmental staff KPI’s / KPA.
  • To ensure that the fiancé department is adequately staffed to meet the objectives of the department.
  • Any other tasks as assigned by the Head of Department.

Country: Ghana

Job Qualification & Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or Financial Discipline.
  • A fully qualified Accountant (ACCA or CPA).
  • Post graduate qualification in a business/ financial discipline would be advantageous.
  • Experience of not less than 5 years at a managerial level preferably in a manufacturing setting with multi-distribution points and multination entities.
  • Experience in ERP environment, preferable.
