Job Description:

Since its inception over 3 decades ago, our client has become a well-known, respected, and reputable medium to large Civil Engineering Construction company built on the foundation of consistent delivery of projects to the highest standard of quality and professionalism. Their client list includes private developers, local authorities as well as government departments who all benefit from a wide range of services including, but not limited to, road rehabilitation/ resealing, township infrastructure, asphalt works, general civil engineering, pipelines, bulk earthworks, new (major and minor) roads, minor concrete structures, electrical substation civil works as well as plant hire.

They boast an extensive list of owned plant that ensures cost and scheduling efficiencies on each project undertaken. They pride themselves on keeping the plant in immaculate condition through regular, high-quality maintenance to ensure safe and effective operation at all times. This includes excavators, graders, recycler/milling machines, TLBs, bitumen distributors, chip spreaders, dump trucks, tipper trucks, water trucks, asphalt plant, rollers, loaders, and mechanical brooms.

With a strong focus on succession planning, they are in the process of restructuring, and are therefore looking to employ a Contracts Manager. This will be a permanent appointment

Job Qualification & Experience:

Key requirements:

1. Post Matric qualification is a requirement (B Ing/B Tech/N Dip Civils).
2. SACPCMP registration as a PCM is compulsory.
3. +/- 25 years of Civil Construction experience.
4.  Experienced in Provincial/SANRAL roads as well as civil services.
5. Relocation to George/Mossel Bay within 3 months or period as agreed on.
6. A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Contracts Manager (Civils).
