Job description / core competencies:
Sales:
– Develop business relationships and strategic partnerships for the company to increase business growth and opportunities for process equipment.
– Identify opportunities and develop the market for Process Equipment and Plant. Key focus is on Separation equipment, Screening, Vibrating feeders and other Process related equipment.
– Develop client solutions for identified opportunities, including flow sheets, product selection and plant designs.
– Develop solutions in the selected markets, demonstrating value added benefits with commercial payback
– Demonstrate ESG benefits of products and plant solutions
– Identify trends in technology and assist in either the development or acquisition of the technology to support company growth strategy
– Coordinate tenders & proposals matching needs of client to products in cooperation with product specialists.
– Coordinate test work and delivering of reports to the client to maximise opportunities.
– Negotiate the contract terms and conditions to reduce risk as well as maximise profitability
– Manage the contract process and effective hand-over for Project Management
– Provide timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all related equipment.
– Determining of business models for application / payback of products & plant.
– Development of existing and new products to maintain Process equipment competitive edge.
– Manage resources both of direct reports and support department to ensure successful build, commissioning and operation of the plant.
– Maintain accurate records of all pricings, sales, and activity reports.
– Control expenses to meet budget guidelines.
– Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service
– Confer with support staff and / or potential customers regarding equipment needs and advise on types of equipment to purchase.
– Keeping abreast of market trends
– Maintaining detailed knowledge of the company’s products or services
– Research competitors, including marketing strategies and pricing philosophy
– Provide ongoing support and training to direct and indirect sales / service staff.
– Attend and interact with relevant industry associations.
– Build a strong business relationship with Project houses (EPC) to ensure the company receives RFQs for new projects.

Management:
– Develop the sales management for Process equipment together with sales manager to ensure that the client’s needs are matched to copmany capabilities and product benefits.
– Identify risk on Process equipment contracts and develop strategies to minimize these.
– Sales management of CE technical specialists, agents and Group companies to optimize the opportunities & sales for company process equipment.
– Training, developing and mentoring of direct and support staff aligned with KPI’s
– Ability to performance manage staff
– Develop talent within the Process sales and technical team. Encourage innovation & learning
– Assist in conducting Performance Appraisals for all relevant staff members
– Manage work allocation and number of resources aligned with workflow and departmental objectives
– Assisting in setting of sales budget and maintaining forecasts
– Prospect reporting and sales activity planning
– Follow Quality measures in terms of ISO 9001:2008 procedures as well as company’s engineering processes, policies and procedures
– Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.

Job Qualification & Experience:

Qualification – Degree/Diploma in relevant technical sales discipline
Experience – Proven track record in Process Plant and equipment sales
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar position in
Mining and comminution environment

Minimum requirements:
Proven track record in Process Plant sales, large engineering company or
commodity trading
Proven track record of successful sales and installations
Industry network and contacts with decision makers
Proven understanding of Process Plant, Sales Management and Business principals
Proven budgeting & financial modelling experience
Knowledge of Mining & Minerals Processing industry and market
Knowledge of competitors
Knowledge of Process technology
Excellent communication skills
Good presentation skills
Excellent report writing skills
Advanced level of computer literacy
Own transport / valid driver’s license
Time management skills
Mentorship and motivating skills
