Our client currently has an opportunity for an Accountant to be responsible for co-coordinating all the activities of the operations and project teams and to ensure timeous and accurate reporting of monthly/weekly/quarterly financial results, relevant management accounts, detailed financial forecasts as well as budgets. In addition, ad-hoc support must be provided to the Financial Manager by means of various cost analyses and feasibility exercises.
Preparing and capturing transactions into Pastel Partner.
Invoicing – implement and control procedures for correct invoicing on sales and projects.
Review and control of cost allocation for accurate accounting.
Prepare accurate monthly and quarterly financial reports and issued before the deadline as requested by holding company.
Reconciliation of all general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
Continuous project profitability management and reports for each project, working closely with the project management team.
Cost accounting and project accounting.
Inventory and asset management procedures – implement and control to ensure no losses.
Work with and assist the team and provide input to be able to meet quarterly and annual targets.
Maintain accurate and up to date asset register.
Assist with preparation of annual budgets and audit working papers for the annual external audit.
Undertaking financial administration and internal audits.
Develop and implement financial systems/policies as and when required.
Controlling and forecasting income and expenditure on a monthly basis.
Respond to requests for ad hoc analysis within 36 hours with deadline.

Job Qualification & Experience:
Qualifications and Experience
Must have a minimum of a National Diploma in Accounting or BCom Accounting degree
At least 5 years’ experience.
Ideally worked in a small to medium size company.
